Effect of ejaculation frequency on ram semen characteristics, seminal plasma composition and chilled sperm quality

The aim of this study was to see how chilled sperm quality is affected by ejaculation frequency and its correlation seminal plasma composition in INRA 180 rams. Five rams were collected at high (HFE) low frequencies (LFE). For the frequency, three times on same day every days for 18 days. In collection, consecutive ejaculates once a week four weeks. Ejaculates 20-minute intervals either HFE or LFE. Semen characteristics, concentration total protein, lipid, cholesterol fructose assessed. samples extended skim milk-based extender 15 °C, then evaluated different storage (0, 8, 24 h). Fresh parameters, composition, stored shown be higher LFE than first second third one. After h storage, correlated components. conclusion, has an effect fresh semen as well
